Black Heritage: A Note From Curator Andy Williams

In conjunction with NVA gallery and ARTGANG gallery, Vues d’Afrique is proud to present Andy Williams› curatorial debut featuring artists from the black diaspora which will be showcasing a stalwart of artists from mixed media candidate Sandra Brewster to the Jamaican archival posters of Maxine Walters at NVA on February 18th. Also, the weekend will introduce to Montreal 2 prolific dub poets in Mutabaruka and Clifton Joseph at the ARTGANG gallery February 19th. The ARTGANG showcase will begin with a slide show presentation with famed NYC street photographer’s Jamel Shabazz new series «Pieces of Man».
