Smut in the Studio

Sex and sexuality on the air: education, titillation, emanciption. Learn about the legal, political and social aspects of talking about sex and alternative sexuality on the radio.


Speakers:

John Custodio, CKUT
John Custodio is the host of QueerCorps, which airs Mondays at 18h on CKUT 90.3 FM. He is also a freelance writer and editor. When he grows up, he wants to be a pornographer.


Sarah Mangle, CKUT
Sarah Mangle is an early childhood educator, musician, freelance illustrator and writer. In 2005, she co-founded AudioSmut, a sex show devoted to education, political rants, discussions and getting off. The show airs on CKUT. Sarah draws and writes porn that has appeared in Lickety Split Smut zine, Pilot Pocket Book 2, and her own self-published work. Sarah has collaborated with the Queer and Trans Prisoner Project, Head and Hands, Project 10, Queer Concordia, the PerverCite organizing commitee, the 2110 Centre, Girls' Club, and QPIRG Mcgill's Radical Frosh.


Khalid M'Seffar, CKUT
Khalid M'Seffar works as a lawyer in criminal and intellectual property law. He has been involved in community broadcasting for nearly twenty years and is presently host of Funky Revolutions heard on CKUT.
