Native Solidarity News has been a fixture on CKUT’s airwaves since 1996. NSN’s primary focus has been to shed light on the issues facing Canada’s Indigenous peoples as well as the beauty of Indigenous culture. NSN has been bringing Indigenous radio-activism to the airwaves for over 20 years and will continue to do so for many more years. NSN is currently produced and hosted by Irkar Beljaars, a Mohawk journalist from Montreal. On air Tuesday evenings, 6pm.

Friday Morning After

The Morning After show is an arts, culture, news and music magazine show airing 7:00-­900am every weekday morning. The Morning After is produced by a collective of volunteers who organize together to create exciting, engaging, alternative programming by mixing music and spoken word creatively to inspire and inform waking listeners. The Morning After is open to all members of CKUT and is the ideal place for volunteers to get hands-­on experience as hosts, technicians and producers.

On Fridays The Friday Morning After becomes The Morning Detour -

Every Friday, from 7:00-9:00am, with their vibrant energy and sanguine personalities, the hosts of The Morning Detour (Wizzy Moonchaser, Lord Pharaoh (One Full Circle) & Kay) are on a mission to keep you current with the urban culture. From the discussion of current issues, news, community events, initiatives within the black community etc. to a sprinkle of the latest rap, R&B and trap music (brought to you by their resident DJ RG Music), this is a morning show that will leave you uplifted, excited to be a Montrealer and charged up for the day. PIRATE BLOC RADIO

Pirate Bloc Radio is a collaborative radio project between Eastern Bloc and CKUT. It is dedicated to emerging digital/media artistic practices, and how technologies influence society. The content of this broadcast will contain interviews, artistic performances, and public interventions.

Pirate Bloc Radio airs every first Thursday of the month at 8pm
