The 18th edition of Suoni Per Il Popolo offers an eclectic mix of free jazz, noise, punk , hip hop, new music, spoken word, musique actuelle, avant rock, out world, sound art, weird folk, a rock opera - workshops, musical seances and so much more. Every Tuesday throughout the month of June from 3- 5pm tune into the Montreal Sessions, hosted by a Suoni insider, to hear a sampling of all the goings on. Tune into CKUT 90.3 FM on Tuesday May 15th, 2018, for special international broadcast dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the ongoing Palestinian Nakbah and resistance to Israeli Apartheid. Radio Free Palestine (RFP) will launch at Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) to air 24 hours of programming from radio stations and producers across 5 continents.
CKUT will be broadcasting live from Montreal’s oldest Black Church, Union United Church on Mother’s Day Sunday May 13th from 11am to 1pm. Tune in for live Gospel music with a special Mother’s Day choir led by Kim Sherwood and interviews about this historic Church and its role in the Montreal Community. Hosting this special broadcast are Christopher Heron host of Mind Soul and Spirit and Pat Dillon Moore host of Bhum Bhum Time .
This month, If You Got Ears’ host Ida Hex is dedicating two hours of high energy content to female identifying and non binary artists. Bringing you techno, rap, stomach-churning music and everything in between, along with very special guest mixes.
