A live studio nterview with Kira Page of the Quebec Public Interest Research Group, QPIRG-McGill. QPIRG’s annual Social Justice Days event series kicks off this weekend, and we’ll get all the details.

Hearings on Bill 60, known as the Quebec Values Charter, wrapped up at the National Assembly in Quebec City today. The CKUT news collective has been bringing you ongoing coverage of the charter and struggles against xenophobia and racism in Quebec. You’ll hear from Gabriel Bergevin-Estable, the communications coordinator at the Centre for Community Organizations, which came out recenlty against the charter.

A report on a vigil held on Tuesday night for Alain Magloire. Magloire, who suffered from mental health problems, was murdered by Montreal police on Tuesday outside the Berri Bus terminal. CKUT’s Amelie Phillipson brings us the story.

Information about Lucia Vega Jimminez, a Mexican refugee, commited suicide by hanging herself in December. She was in the custody of border enforcement agents awaiting deportation. Sula Sidnell-Greene of the news collective spoke with No One Is Illegal Vancouver who have been mobilizing around the case.
