OWL (Older Women Live) are true trailblazers. The group’s founders wanted to empower older women by giving them a voice in the media and demystifying technology, so they created their own show that addresses a wide range of issues. OWL airs *every 2nd Wednesday of the month 6-7pm

In the Motherhood women discussing the lives of mothers and general issues of parenthood from the feminist perspective in Montreal and beyond. The show features news, music, arts and current affairs involving feminist approaches to family life and much more. Every third Wednesday of the month 6-7pm

SPITFIYAH

Spitfiyah is a monthly collective radio show broadcasting from Montreal every last Wednesday of the month on CKUT 90.3 FM. Spitfiyah! breathes the lives of women and colour in Montreal. The show focuses on feminism from women of color perspective is a prime example of programming produces by and for the community itself. It has been on the air for over a decade. Every fourth Wednesday of the month 6-7pm

Ève & Pandore est diffusée sur les ondes de CKUT, le mercredi à 18h00, tous les trois mois. Notre objectif est de porter un regard réflexif et intersectionnel sur différents enjeux, mettre de l’avant des pistes d’actions féministes et offrir un espace de parole à d’autres féministes afin qu’elles puissent partager leur savoir et leurs expériences.

Ève et Pandore sont deux personnages considérées dans leur mythologie respective – chrétienne et grecque – comme étant la première femme créée. Ayant désobéi aux ordres d’une divinité suprême masculine, elles ont été tenues responsables de tous les plus grands maux de l’humanité. Ainsi, nous portons comme étendard de notre insoumission, le nom de ces femmes, injustement calomniées.

Premiered January 2015. Al Ruwad (The Groundbreakers). A new radio show on CKUT 90.3 fm featuring groundbreaking artists of “other” origins. Showcasing musical and multimedia cultural pioneers, THE GROUNDBREAKERS will focus on cross-generational cultural production from the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region and worldwide, with an emphasis on music and exclusive artist features. Airing every Wednesday 2pm -3pm

Nipivut

Nipivut is a radio program by and for Inuit of Montreal. It is broadcast partly in Inuktitut, and partly in English.

The radio program promotes the Inuktitut language in Montreal and provides a forum for Inuit to publicly discuss community life and issues in the city. This initiative also raises the profile of Inuit among the non-Inuit community in Montreal; creating a positive outlet for cultural awareness in the city.

Nipivut, a brand new show produced by and for Montreal’s Inuit community, every second Tuesday 6 - 7pm t.

Nipivut means “our voice”, it is the first southern radio program broadcast by and for Inuit in Inuktitut. This bi-weekly Inuit cultural radio program will give the Inuit of Montreal a voice in this city: providing essential news for Montrealmiut and showcasing Inuit culture and language to the greater Montreal community. Nipivut will provide programs in English and French when possible, and will promote the Inuktitut language in the city with Inuit music, Inuktitut lessons, and news and public discussions in Inuktitut. Nipivut seeks to connect Inuit living in Montreal with their families and friends in the north as well as the larger community of Montreal.

The Morning After show is an arts, culture, news and music magazine show airing 7:00-­900am every weekday morning. The Morning After is produced by a collective of volunteers who organize together to create exciting, engaging, alternative programming by mixing music and spoken word creatively to inspire and inform waking listeners. The Morning After is open to all members of CKUT and is the ideal place for volunteers to get hands-­on experience as hosts, technicians and producers.
