Featured on today’s program:
- an interview with Sandra Chu from the AIDS/HIV legal network, concerning the federal government’s new bill C-36. Chu believes that this law, which criminalizes sex work, will put the health and security of sex workers at further risk. CKUT’s Amelie Phillipson will have the story.
- Then, an interview that Cade Laren conducted with a volunteer from the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal. They will be discussing the annual Spirit Walk Fundraiser on Aboriginal Day this Saturday, at Mont Royal Park. The funds raised during the Spirit Walk will support a Healing Lodge for Indigenous women to be hosted by the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal in August 2014.
- But First, we will hear a radio documentary from Making Contact titled «Rad Dads». The documentary explores the intersection of political beliefs with parenting, and examines how this is resulting in a changing role for fathers in today’s society.
