IN CELELBRATION OF THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIP HOP YOU DON’T STOP

CKUT presents a discussion about Hip Hop as a Universal Language on McGill Campus - SSMU Ballroom, third floor. Thurday Sept 24th 6pm - 9pm.

Part One - Hip Hop as a cultural movement that transcends socio-economic conditions, linguistic, racial and geographic.

Part Two - Hop as a tool for intervention and inspiration in young people.

Guests : - Ken Swift (VII Gems, NYC) A founding dancers of Rock Steady Crew, the most famous group of the world of B-boying / B-Girling (breakdance) and one of Hip Hop cultural pioneers in he late 1970S.

Illa J (Slum Village, Detroit / Montreal) Artist multi-instrumentalist soul / hiphop artist and brother of the late great J Dilla. He toured worldwide as a member of the legendary Detroit rap group Slum Village as well as a solo artist.
