No One Is Illegal Radio / Dec. 4, 5-6pm / Cree Youth March Against Uranium

On today’s No One Is Illegal Radio, we feature interviews about the current Stand Against Uranium March by Cree youth, as well as responses to the police killings of Mike Brown (Ferguson, Missouri) and Eric Garner (Staten Island, New York).

Our two feature interviews include:

Joshua Iserhoff, a Cree youth who is part of a group of youth marching more than 800km from Mistissini in Eeyou Istchee to Quebec City and Montreal. We get a live update from the march, which today has reached Quebec City and is marching to the National Assembly. For more info about the Stand Against Uranium march, visit: http://standagainsturanium.com/march/

Nila Nokizaru, a critical theorist living in Philadelphia. In this interview, Nila talks with us about anti-police struggles in Ferguson, the increased militarization of police, and ideas of justice.

We will also feature an interview with former Black Panther Ashanti Alston speaking about policing in the aftermath of the Ferguson riots, as well as historical audio featuring Fred Hampton, who was murdered by the Chicago police and FBI 45 years ago today.

Listen live in the Montreal-area on CKUT 90.3FM, or via the web at ckut.ca everywhere.
